Peer Review Policy

As part of the submission process, authors are responsible for checking the rules for compliance with all of the items listed below. Submissions that do not conform to the rules will not be accepted and will be returned to the authors.

Submissions are not accepted:

That have not been submitted by authors, after registration, or with a password, in the OJS3 system.
Papers that are being evaluated by another journal or are identical to papers published in full in scientific events.
Those that deal with studies on bibliographical survey in databases on themes, authors, institutions, methodologies, among others, without contemplating an in-depth analysis on the research theme, as well as without explaining the true contribution to Information Science education.
Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are strictly forbidden, and the authors must, in these cases, duly cite the sources consulted.
Authors are forbidden to include any authorship identification in the submission file, in order to guarantee a blind peer review (Double Blind Peer Review). If this criterion is not met, the paper will be rejected by the editor.

After submission via OJS3+, the manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor, who must consider the relevance of the submitted work to the journal's focus/scope. Then, if the editor considers it pertinent, the manuscript is forwarded to two referees, who are part of the journal's body of referees, adopting the double blind peer review system, as previously mentioned. If necessary, the work will be analyzed by a third reviewer or may be submitted to ad hoc reviewers.

Taking the opinions sent as a parameter, it is up to the editor to give the final opinion to the author regarding the submitted work.
