Journal History
The Brazilian Journal of Education in Information Science (REBECIN) is a semiannual journal, registered under ISSN 2358-3193, with free and free access published by the Brazilian Association of Education in Information Science (ABECIN).
ABECIN is a legal entity governed by private law, constituted in the form of a non-profit association, founded on June 2, 2001, which is governed by the provisions of the Bylaws and the applicable legal provisions.
REBECIN started its publication with v.1, n.1, from January to June 2014, publishing only original texts such as: research articles, review articles, case studies, communications, experience reports and reviews related to the area of education in Information Science. Texts submitted for publication must be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English. The magazine has a double blind review policy.
MISSION
Promote the dissemination and visibility of research and reports of experiences related to information science education.
SCOPE
REBECIN's scope includes:
a) curriculum and training content: relations between academia and the labor market;
b) diversity, ethics, political training and social responsibility in teaching for professional performance;
c) memory of the associative movement and the areas Archivology, Librarianship, Information Science, Information Management and Museology;
d) teaching methodologies, pedagogical processes and didactics for professional training;
e) skills derived from training content and performance in the world of work;
f) teaching with research in the fields of Archivology, Library Science, Information Science, Information Management and Museology;
g) teaching with extension in the fields of Archivology, Library Science, Information Science, Information Management and Museology;
h) technologies and devices applicable to the training of teachers and information professionals;
i) curricular, extracurricular and voluntary internship, in addition to monitoring, as an element of the teaching-learning process.
