This article presents a reading of the actions of the NGO Olha o Chico, from the perspective of the cultural activities developed in the city of Piaçabuçu. So, the research problem seeks to ask to what extent intangible heritage in combination with information become instruments of cultural action in the social universe of the riverside city of Piaçabuçu / Alagoas? Thus, it aims as a general objective, to study intangible heritage as a device, in order to review the conceptual contributions and empirical observation as indicators of the relationships between information and cultural action in the reading of the cultural actions of the NGO Olha o Chico. Thus, this article points out paths taken in the research, through the analysis that consisted of data obtained through the masters of popular culture, the profile and / or function of the cultural agents / leaders of the NGO, their cultural actions, as well as the issue of heritage immaterial related to information.
